PORTRAITS
THE Dancefloor is a sacred space.
All that takes place on the Dancefloor is a ritual and the objective is absolute bliss.
Dancers are Erna Gunnarsdóttir, Ernesto Camilo Aldazabal Valdes, Halla Ólafsdóttir, Inga María Olsen, Saga Sigurðardóttir, Sverrir Gauti Svavarsson and Védís Kjartansdóttir.

Ode to a Dancefloor is a collection of video portraits in which the audience get to know a selection of icelandic dancers og witness their ode to the dancefloor. The piece honors the dancefloor and all who have dedicated their life to it.
The portraits are part of a series that go by the same name. The whole series, as the name may indicate, is dedicated to the dancefloor and all of it’s activities.
The piece has been shown at Winter Lights Festival of Reykjavík in 2021, Plan B Festival ‘21, Núllið Gallery ‘21 and Hamraborg Festival in ‘22.
